So in case you didn’t know, Mickey Mouse is turning 90 this year! So naturally Disney is going all out to celebrate this massive milestone with Mickey True Original collections an collaborations.
This is what I am most looking forward to do. This is a pop-up art exhibit being held in NYC (where I live, yay). So for once there is a Disney event I won’t have FOMO on. Anyways, this is a ticketed event that will feature several different artists all paying tribute to our main mouse Mickey. Tickets are $38 and can be found here. The exhibition will run from November 8, 2018 – February 10, 2019.
Let’s be real, Disney has been killing the style game recently and this collection is no exception. There are so many amazing looks to pick from here like the Mickey Mouse Print Skinny Pants, Mickey Mouse Checkered Cardigan, Mickey Mouse Belted Glen Plaid Skirt, and the Mickey Mouse Graphic Crop Top to name a few. Even better is this collection is pretty affordable. My only complaint is this collection is NOT available in plus-sizes.
I think we can all agree that everything is tastes better when it’s Mickey shaped. Well now we can indulge our sweet tooth with this super yummy candy collection from Sugarfina. The collection include 3 gummy cubes: strawberry Mickey ears, birthday cake Mickey hands, and raspberry buttons. In addition to the bento boxes there are 3 different chocolate bars in milk, dark and white chocolate with Mickey sprinkles. All are available for individual purchase or in two different collector boxes.
You didn’t think we’d forget about LEGO now did you? Well if you are a fan of the BrickHeadz like we are than you’ll be stoked that to celebrate turning 90 LEGO has released a Mickey Mouse BrickHeadz. There is also a Minnie Mouse BrickHeadz available as, fun fact, it is also her 90th birthday. Both the Mickey and Minnie BrickHeadz are available online and in stores.
There will also be special events held in all the Disney Parks and Disney Cruise lines to celebrate Mickey’s 90th birthday. You can find all the information on that over on the Disney Parks Blog.
Are you excited for these new collections? Let us know in the comments what you’re looking forward to the most.
